Handmade Blue Dotted Rope Camera Strap

This strap is made from a 10 mm climbing rope in a beautiful blue tone, woven with a subtle black dotted pattern. It’s a simple, solid, and quietly distinctive alternative to the usual plain rope straps. The leather ends are cut from thicker full-grain hide and hand-formed around the joints. Each strap is built one by one in my workshop.

The rope has a medium-soft hand feel — flexible enough to wrap or fold, but firm enough to keep its shape when worn. If you prefer a longer cross-body carry or a tighter shoulder fit, you can customize the length between 70–150 cm (27.6–59.1 in).

Usage & Compatibility

Works with most film, mirrorless, and compact cameras that use standard strap lugs. If you carry your camera cross-body, on the shoulder, or around the neck, choose or customize the length that fits your style.

The dotted weave pattern adds a subtle visual texture — understated, but different from plain solid rope straps.

Care Notes

• The rope can be wiped lightly with a damp cloth.
• The leather ends will slowly darken and gain character over time.
• Avoid soaking; allow to air-dry naturally if wet.
